The foreskin is separated with a clamp/forceps, and then surgically removed with a blade or cautery.
The wound is then stitched together all the way around.
Stitches – visible, or invisible (buried) stitches can be used. Both methods use dissolvable stitches.
This is the more common technique, and cosmetic outcome is variable.

How does Stapler Circumcision Work?
The head of the penis (glans) is exposed. A protective bell is used over the glans, and the stapler device is applied over the foreskin. The device then precisely cuts and closes the wound using miniature titanium staples in less than 3 minutes. The staples then fall out between 1-4 weeks to leave a precise and clean scar.

We understand that circumcision can be a big decision to take, and be a daunting experience. We aim to clarify the main questions you may have:
Yes, you will be awake as we use local anaesthetic to numb the penis.
No, the procedure is performed under local anaesthesic to ensure you are comfortable and pain-free. The only discomfort will be that of the local anaesthetic injection which doesn’t take long .
For a physical job, you will need to take 2 weeks off work. For an office job, you are able to go back to work the next day.
For adults, a traditional cut and stitch circumcision takes around an hour. With CircCurer stapler circumcision, the circumcision itself takes around 10 minutes.
Recovery takes around 6 weeks with cut and stitch circumcision or 2-3 weeks with CircCurer Stapler on average.*
